The Thirty-Second Annual

Santa Barbara Harvest Moon Dance Festival

October 13–15, 2017

The Carrillo Ballroom is once again going to ROCK all weekend long!
Join us in Santa Barbara, California, with its “best in the west” legendary Sprung Floor, on October 13-15th, 2017, for an amazing contra time…

Featuring Wild Asparagus, a premier band from Massachusetts, with special guest Mark ‘Pokey’ Hellenberg. For the last 10 years, Kelli has flown to Oregon every year to hear this band… a true contra-high every time! They are famous for their lively, hypnotic rhythmic dance tunes that will absolutely heat up the dance floor.

And Riptide, one of the most energetic contra bands on the scene today, with most of this foursome hailing from Maine. They love the music they play, and their repertoire contains literally hundreds of tunes from New England, Quebec, Ireland, Appalachia, and more.

Calling by George Marshall whose specialty is teaching and calling the New England-style contra dances he has collected throughout the country. He is renowned for his knack of matching music to dance and for his smooth, concise teaching and presentation.
