Attendance is by pre-registration only and will be gender-balanced.
The only prerequisite for attendance is knowing any form of basic waltz step.

This is the first ever Santa Barbara Country Dance Society-sponsored Waltz Weekend.
We are proud to bring Richard Powers to the Carrillo Ballroom to teach various waltz moves
including traditional turning waltz, cross-step waltz, Viennese waltz, ballroom slow waltz, and sweetheart (shadow) waltz .

This weekend workshop is designed to improve your waltz ability regardless of your present level, and is sure to improve your overall dance confidence.

Richard Powers is an expert in American social dance, noted for his choreographies for dozens of stage productions and films, and his workshops in Paris, Rome, Prague, London, Venice, Geneva, St. Petersburg and Tokyo as well as across the U.S. and Canada.
He is currently a full-time instructor at Stanford University Dance Division.

Accomodations

We will make every attempt to house or tent participants from out of town with local dancers. Also, the area features many hotels, etc., to choose from.

Food

We'll have an ongoing snack table with lots of goodies throughout the weekend.

Registration

Register now as the weekend might fill up. Attendance is by pre-registration only and will be gender-balanced.

Cost $50, Saturday 12:30 p.m. through Sunday 4:30 p.m.
All cancellations subject to $10 administrative fee.
If you cancel after April 1, refund is contingent on us locating a replacement.
No refunds after April 15. Registrations are nontransferable.
